Well, these are the rules, no specific order though.
First and foremost, keep always in mind the Proboards ToS. I seriously don't want problems with them, and thus you don't want them either.
This is a semi-literate board, I'm not going to be mad by minimal grammatical issues or a wrong spelled word, after all I understand not everyone speak English as first language (heck I speak Spanish as first language, I know what I'm talking about). But seriously, you'll be in troubles if every third word you write is wrongly spelled or wrongly placed.
We've got a quite good spell check, I hope you use it.
Linked to the previews one, one-liners will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I know sometimes our muse is mean with us, but if this is the case leave an OOC note in the post (and even if your muse is mean, I'll kill you if you just post a sentence.)
Another linked to the previews one, your Character actions must be described in third person. Using * - ~ # or anything similar to say a character action is BAD, an example:
Quote:| Sora waited for Capn to reach him *looks over his shoulder and says* "You're slow bro" ~sigh~ |

That's what you MUST NEVER DO. Please be descriptive of the action... corrected example:
Quote:| Sora waited for Capn to reach him, as Capn finally approached, Sora looked over his shoulder and with a sigh he said "You're slow bro". |

Killing characters. You can kill NPCs you create, however PCs and NPCs created by Staff members can't be killed without the explicit permission of the person manipulating them.
Linked to the previews one, my daily diet is based on Godmoders, powerplayers, and Mary-Sue's/Gary-Stus. So unless you want to be my breakfast, AVOID ANY OF THOSE PRACTICES.
If you don't know what either of those is, this is a VERY small resume:
Godmoder/Powerplayer: A person that uses the character of someone else and/or the environment with major effects in the game. Example:
Quote:| "Sora aimed and shot at X, blowing X head up and finishing it." |

Where X is a PC or NPC controlled by a Staff Member.
Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu: A character that is overpowered, with minimal flaws or none at all. Example:
Quote:| With just 15 years, Capn was the most handsome guy in his school, was strong, and smart too. He had already won the Nobel for settling the war between X and Y country with no bloodshed... |

Hope you got the idea.
Romance is allowed, everyone has the right to fall in love. However if you know your thread will touch sexual topics, PLEASE put [R] or [M] in the title... And don't be overwhelmingly descriptive with that please.
Linked to the previews. I consider myself quite open-minded and accept any kind of relationship between characters. So your Character can be homosexual, heterosexual, bisexual, pansexual, ANYTHING. However not everyone is like me and there will be people that won't like that kind of relationships, please both sides respect the other and keep things civilized.

Said a National Hero, I hold this as a supreme truth. So respect everyone, if you say any discriminatory thing you'll be out without warning and depending on how bad it was I'll consider the permanent IP ban.
Flamewars are of the things I don't bear, be civilized and if you're having a friction please deal with it through PMs or in General Chat. If a staff member has to stop it, you'll be in serious problems...
As time passes, we might find we need more rules, or that some rules aren't usable anymore, so we might modify them. When we do this, we will bump this thread. MAKE SURE TO READ IT.
